App Design Tips And Tricks For A New Generation

If you’re like most people, you have had a cellphone now for about 10 years or so. But here’s some news: the iPhone is not like any cellphone you have had before. It truly is a revolutionary item, and if you are using it like other phones, you are missing out. Keep reading for tips to help you see what you can really do with the iPhone.

You will want to restart your iphone on a semi-regular basis. Giving it this little reboot from time to time helps to keep all your apps, programs and other functions running smoothly and properly. To do this, just turn off your phone, leave off for 30 seconds or more and then restart the device.

Use your music section of your iPhone to create a full fledged music library for work or school. This can link directly to the iTunes on your computer, where you can download your favorite music onto your phone. Additionally, you can shuffle or repeat some of the songs that you enjoy the most on your iPhone.

Have you ever wanted to create a playlist when you’re not at your computer? Well, now you can Open the music app and click the “Add Playlist” button. You can then give it a name. After that, you’ll be able to click on individual songs, albums, or artists to add them to your new playlist.

To increase your storage space on your iPhone, take advantage of iCloud. This will only take you a few minutes to set up, and it can triple or quadruple the amount of space that is made available. This is especially useful if you store a lot of photographs or a big music library on your phone.

To get the most from Siri, use this tip to assign nicknames and relationships for each of your contacts. For example, you can tell Siri, “Jane Johnson is my mother.” Siri will then request confirmation to link this information to Jane’s contact number. Now, you can tell Siri to “Call Mom,” and she will automatically bring up your mother’s phone number.

If you do not want to worry about capitalization when you are typing a text message to a friend, you can turn on the auto-capitalization feature. This feature is found under Settings->General->Keyboard and is the first option when you open up this section. This will help you save a lot of time and improve your grammar through texts.

You can check where links will take you to by slightly pressing on them instead of tapping. This is the equivalent of hovering your mouse over an element displayed by your computer; you will see more information about the links you touched. Always check links you receive in your emails, especially if you do not know the sender.

Security Features of the Upcoming iOS 7

WWDC 2013 was the most searched keyword on Google in the past few weeks and not only over the Internet, in real world everyone was seen talking about it. This is obvious as Apple events are a trendsetter and hence, everyone waits for them quite eagerly. As expected, Apple officials announced its much-awaited iOS 7. Everything sounded very common until they started narrating about visual changes and new security features installed in the iOS. This made me realize that this iOS has something different as it is completely overhauled by Apple’s designing team led by Sir Jonathan Paul “Jony” Ive. They have given main importance to the security and this; I feel is the impact of warning given by the federal government to raise security standards of devices made by them. Here are few security features in the new iOS 7 that pulled my attention.

1. Activation Lock – Theft or lost devices were the biggest concern for Apple and the source of inspiration behind devising a completely altered “Activation Lock”. With the new activation lock, if a thief tries to deactivate “Find my Phone” or wipe the device, it will become inoperable until the proper username and iCloud password is fed.
